Welcome to FlyMitra. This Privacy Policy explains how FlyMitra (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects personal information when you use the FlyMitra mobile app (the “App”), website at https://flymitra.in (the “Website”), or our services (together, the “Platform”). Please read carefully. By using the Platform you consent to the practices described here.
What information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information collected automatically:
- Account & identity data: name, email, mobile number, profile photo, address, identity proof and pilot/operator credentials (where applicable).
- Booking & transaction data: bookings, dates/times, payment records, invoices.
- Device & usage data: device model, OS version, IP address, analytics (screens visited, crash logs).
- Communications: support requests, chat messages you send through the Platform, reviews and feedback.
Location information (including background location)
Precise location data: We collect location information when you use the Platform to provide and improve services—e.g., to show nearby pilots/drones, enable live tracking, flight fulfilment and safety monitoring.
For certain features (such as real-time tracking of a drone/pilot and safety monitoring), FlyMitra may request permission to access your precise location while the app is in the background. We will always show a clear, prominent disclosure screen in-app explaining:
(1) that we will collect location in the background, (2) why we need it (service fulfilment, tracking, safety), and (3) how it will be used. We will request the system permission only after you tap an affirmative action on that disclosure screen. Background location is optional — if you decline, core booking features still work but tracking or certain on-field features may be limited.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the Platform and Services (bookings, matching, tracking).
- To verify accounts, pilot credentials and ensure safety/compliance with laws and aviation rules.
- To process payments, invoices and refunds.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and for safety investigations.
- To send service notifications and, with consent where required, marketing messages.
- To analyse and improve the Platform (analytics, diagnostics).
Sharing & third parties
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers: hosting providers, analytics and verification vendors acting on our behalf.
- Operators / Pilot Partners: your name, contact and location details necessary to deliver the booked service.
- Legal authorities: where required by law or to protect rights, safety or property.
- Business transfers: in the event of a merger, sale or reorganization.
Retention & deletion
We retain personal information as long as necessary to provide services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. After account closure we will delete or anonymise data in accordance with our data retention schedule, except where required for legal purposes.
Security
We follow industry-standard practices (encryption, access controls) to protect data. No system is 100% secure — if you suspect misuse of your account, contact us immediately at contact@flymitra.in.
Children
The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
